Upload Text messages From Mogul To Touch Pro Helppp!!

ight ya'll I searched for this and didnt get a real good answer all I'm hearing it can't be done. sorry im not as active in posting like the rest but here we go.

ight i'm bout to get the touch pro real soon,( should have been had it)
i got a mogul runnin rom 3.35.651.2 and i backed everything up using PIMBACK UP TOOl

Now here the questions. can i take the file i backed up and load it to the touch pro???? I want all my text messages thats what i really want. i have to give sorint my mogul so I need to know

or can use DISHWARE and upload it???? but can the text messages be installed on my touch pro??

thanks for all the replys in advance if I get any I just need to know how to bring my text messages from my mogul to the touch pro

Yes, if your only trying to Restore Contacts,email, and Text. If you want to restore anything else, you should use SPB Backup.

PIM Backup is only going to b/u your PIM data (contacts, calendar, tasks, etc). Dashwire will only do contacts, pix, texts, and IE favorites. If you want a b/u of your entire device, follow shaun's post

so the touch pro shouldnt have a problem taking the text messages from my pim file and extracting it to itself?

i found that when i tried reloading contacts using pim backup to my phone, i would get duplicates the next time i tried to sync with my computer, even if i wipe it. this is why i only use my computer to backup conatcts/tasks/notes etc. i use pim for texts and i successfully transferred my texts from the mogul to touch pro. if you have several thousand texts like me however, its going to take a while for the phone to sort all the texts and thread them up. to be safe i disabled threaded messenging before i restored and set it back to threaded after a reset. in the touch pro you can find an option to enable/disable threaded texts in setttings. also it tends to load the incoming texts first so dont be surprised if all your threads seem to be only incoming, wait a little while longer and the outgoing will start populating and the conversation will be whole again
