Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

Pinks, the solutions to your issues arent software related... just stop taking calls from people who arent in your phonebook or who call from blocked numbers and your issues will go away lol

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

I think I know what she's talking about: on the stock dialer once a call is connected, either received or sent, it shows a picture (or shadow) the name and call timer. However if the number is not in your phonebook is says "unknown caller", even if you just dialed the number. This is because the dialer is trying to put their name in this field. A good solutions would be to put the number here if it's not in your phone book.

I agree this is really annoying and kind of counter intuitive. I sometimes accidently answer when I take my phone out of my pocket and if its not a call from my contact list then I have no idea who's going to be there.

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

Seeing this also on my Sprint Branded TP (Scott's lastest ROM) running on VZW except that all calls show up as unknown caller even when the number and name are in the contacts

On my OMNIA on VZW it shows Incoming Call and the phone number.

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

I'm not sure if this is related to your problem, but switched over to the OMNIA and the caller ID was still not working. I called VZW and first level said everything in my account said it should, but they send me up to level 3 who could actually see the switch settings and determined that some voice settings were missing from the profile. In a few minutes, everything was working.

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

So I stumbeled across this, which I think is what you're looking for (if it works): http://www.privusmobile.com/?gclid=C...FQlrgwod7jPXaA

But at $7.50 a month that's way to expensive for me...

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

no guys, try it calling your phone normally from a number not in your contacts, the phone rings, you look and see the number. Ok (this is why I would like it) I am taking an order, I go look at the phone to see the number to add it in says unknown caller, we would like it to remain showing the number like it did before we answered the call.

Maybee this will help clear some people up.

Re: UNknown caller Fix yet?

I have the same issue as OP as well as 4 of my friends on their Sprint TP's. It's really annoying. Dialing numbers and then hitting call the number disappears right after it says connected.

To test this all you have to do is type a number thats not in your contact and hit call.... Once it starts dialing look at your screen and it should say
"Unkown Caller."
"Connected:"
"00:01"
