Re: H264 Smooth Video Playback...any chance?
I'm trying the lowest possible setting, 500 bitrate VBR. I will let you know. If this doesn't play smoothly I may try reducing the video resolution to 1/2, so that would be 320x240 or for aspect it would be 320x180(ugh, what a waste). Hopefully it will scale nicely.

Re: H264 Smooth Video Playback...any chance?
Hmm, not bad, I'm getting about 14-15fps. Not the 29.97 it's encoded to but not bad. I will try tweaking a few more settings. I changed too many h264 encoding setting at once and I don't know which one made it play at a watchable speed.

Re: H264 Smooth Video Playback...any chance?
With alot of effort I got my 1920x1080i tvshow on my TP at 368x208 (wierd but thats what nero recode chose based on bitrate) and 243kbps, 24fps 48kbps audio.
I can hold 24fps playing full screen and for 15mins of video the file is 7.48mb. So you figure a 22 min TV show would be about 12mbs and a 48min TV show about 17mbs. Not bad. You could store alot of shows and watch them at that size. |

Re: H264 Smooth Video Playback...any chance?
COREPLAYER has a better updated codecs for video than TCPMP.... everything has less lag when I compare the two. Make sure to select QTv Display as Video Output.
I can play 688 x 284 no problem |

Re: H264 Smooth Video Playback...any chance?
My megabit size estimates were off above. Don't pay any attention. I got impatient encoding 15 mins of video for each test so I shortened it to 5000 frames. I forgot I shortend the encodeing length.
