sometimes it just needs an overall cleaning.

Well I just did this, and somehow some alcohol got inside of the lcd. The phone works fine but the touch screen is completely unresponsive. I can see it moving around in there as it dries. Hopefully It will dry up and I can use it again.

I do not recommend doing this. I'm kicking myself. My phone isnt even a week old yet.

Can't you just take out the screen protector, and dry it up ?

Nono..

its inside the screen itself. Not the screen protector. There's no screen protector on right now.

No. I did exactly what OP said to do. Soaked the screen protector in alcohol.. shook it off, and put it on the phone. I noticed the screen turning blacker in some parts until it got the way you see it now. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if it dries up, but for right now, the touch screen doesn't do a damn thing.

So what happened? Did it dry out? or is it screwed?

Sorry to see what happened to you. I assumed he meant air dry. I thought the alcohol was so it would dry faster so you didn't have to wait ages to put it back on. I didn't think the OP meant to put it on while the alcohol was still on the protector.

If he would have shook it off enough there would have been no problem. Alcohol dries quick so, in my opinion you just didn't follow directions or didn't use common sense that if the screen protector still had a good amount of Alcohol on it, you should not have put it on.

In other words you rushed it and didn't take your time to be careful.

I've always used this method on all my phones and never had this happen.
