Re: GPS calibration?

I have noticed that Google maps street view puts my location 3 houses down from my actual location at home. I too have experienced the "drunk driver" type of response from gps however, I still fell that it is good enough to get around.Just my observation.

Re: GPS calibration?

When I use Sprint Navigation it has my position right on. Might be the way that Live Search and Google maps is processing the GPS data.

Re: GPS calibration?

surveying companys get centimeter accuracy with $40,000 GPS units (my company has 4 of them). typically hand held units are only accurage within 3 -5 meters. i doubt you will ever get "balls on accurate" with a hand held unless it's using WAAS, and even then it only gets just under 3 meter accurate. i'm pretty sure the built in GPS on the phones are not WAAS capable, however.
