Possible to have headphone volume on, phone on silent/Vibrate?

At work, I listen to a lot of podcasts or streaming music with my Touch Pro. I use the adapter included so that I have my phone charging and use 3.5 headphones.

The problem is, sometimes when I get up to go to a meeting, ill take my phone with me and not remember to switch my phone back to vibrate, so the ringer or alerts will go off.

Is there a way to keep the phone on Silent or Vibrate and be able to still listen to music/podcasts with 3.5 headphones?

I know my Treo 800w had a really nice switch on top of the phone, so the phone would stay on vibrate, but if headphones were plugged in you could still listen through them.

Anyone know if there is a way to do this with the touch pro so I don't have to keep turning the volume up or down each time?

Thanks,

~J

Well thats what I thought.

But wouldn't any Alerts such as appointments or texts on my phone be considered through the system volume?

Which you'd need to remember to flip back on, or you'll be missing lots of calls!
