I just got a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT for my Trailblazer, and I'm having issues pairing the contacts through bluetooth. I was wondering if there was a way to do it, or if it's locked. The guy that installed it said I might have to unlock my phone to do that, because the provider locks out that capability. Either way, I can't even get it to play music through the bluetooth, anyone else have this stereo and issue?

new here, didn't read the whole thread. anyways, i slingbox on my pro and use the video out to display on my tvs in the car. sweetest thing i've seen.

I have a Ford Edge with SYNC and it works with my TouchPro over Bluetooth almost perfectly, since the voice commands don't work with Bluetooth only USB. The sound quality through the Ford system using Bluetooth was pretty much indistinguishable from the USB wired connection.

An even sweeter thing would be some kind of bluetooth remote so you could change channels without touching the phone lol

wait, does that exist?

btw anyone hear slingplayer was denied and banned from the app store by apple? Amazing isnt it? Finally an app with substance comes along and they ban it.

I've had great success with Pioneer Premiere head units in the past so I'm going to go with the DEH-P710BT when it comes out. Love the fact that it has BT, XM, and iPod connections.

In the mean time I'm using the Motorola T505. For the price, I think I got it for around $60 at Amazon, that little jobby is incredible. The sound quality is great considering it is a FM Modulated signal. No echo on the other end of a call either. So if you're looking for a temp solution I would suggest that.

Anyone hearing hissing noise when TP is connected to stereo via BT? Noticed it happening and getting louder at times.

As I mentioned earlier (I think in this very thread), remove the bitpool and maxbitpool entries ENTIRELY from your registry. Default values throttle the bitrate of A2DP in order to save CPU power at the cost of sound quality.

Take those out, the hissing goes away and sound quality improves.

It doesn't really matter, the iphone network is too slow for a Sling mobile setup to work right anyway.

I wish like hell it would work on my ipod touch, but that may come about sooner or later.....
