Ok any news on this? What I've found is locate me can be enabled if I'm in airplane mode, but as soon as I have service, locate me doesn't show up anymore. I can try and trick it and run live search before re-enabling my connection, but even when locate me is enabled and my connection is good, i get a dialog saying it can't find me.
Any suggestions?

well, once (when the internal gps locked up) I saw it showing a 15mil blue circle like it was locating my by cell, but it was a different state, and then the phone really started freezing up, I rebooted. not sure it's geared for the phones with gps in them. apache anyone?
