Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

I am using a mp3 ringer on my tp. When it rings it does not stay at one volume level. Every couple of seconds it goes lower then higher. When I play in on wmp or mp3 trimmer it plays normally. Any ideas?

Re: Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

Sounds like a Voice Command issue. Each time the volume decreases is when voice command is supposed to announce the callers info. It hasn't worked for many people since launch and I dont know if theres a fix for it yet (Is there?).

Any rate go to settings, then voice command.
In the menu box, scroll to phone. Click on it then click notifications to the right.
U can set it to announce using bluetooth handsfree only and check during free time.

Should solve the problem.

Re: Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

If it's a problem for all your MP3 ring tones, then the above advice by Mr will solve it.. If it's one specific ring tone, try re-loading it.. The compression or something else might be bad on that one specific ring tone...

Re: Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

Also...if it's one specific ringtone, you might want to edit it w/ Wavepad or a similar application on your PC first. You'll then get normalization options to level the sound out.

Re: Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

Thanks for all the replies. It was the voice command set to announce notifications through device speaker. I changed it to announce thru bluetooth only and worked like it was suppose to. Thanks again.

Re: Touch Pro Mp3 ringer volume

i have noticed that after a soft reset the ring volume is up half way. when i preview the ring that way, it plays it constant volume, but if i raise the volume then the ring starts to decrease the volume after a few sec.
