Re: Can anyone explain why the battery overlheats?

If an optimized radio driver can reduce power consumption, it could solve this issue. That would be a great win-win situation.

Re: Can anyone explain why the battery overlheats?

Well, my 2nd TP gets really hot with limited use, for example watching movies with Divx, watching sprint tv, surfing the net...so does changing the radio reduce the amount of heat? Will changing the radio damage your phone in any way? Or reduce call quality..stuff like that...sorry of they are dumb questions.

switching radios won't damage your phone. try flashing the telus radio as i've heard it gets great reception and doesn't overheat.

Re: Can anyone explain why the battery overlheats?

I updated the original thread to include a link to the list of recent radios. Hopefully this helps with battery life problems.

I'm guessing that using the Telus radio is the most preferred radio for better battery life? Anyone know any better?
