htc touch pro email problems- working internet flashed with Juicy - Page 2

I have searched far and wide. This is the only post that has almost the same problem i do. My phone recently crashed and i was forced to Flash With Juicy 7. I have a Sprint Touch Pro flashed to MetroPCS. Everything was working again.

After flash i also updated to a new radio. My internet works fine but gmail has a problem when i try to send/receive. I got a popup saying that "cannot connect with current connection settings".

Im pretty sure i have all the correct settings for the wap and network connection

please, anybody help

here is step by step instructions to get mms to work (picture messaging) it does work as my touch pro is flashed to metro and pic messaging works..remember you need Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24 to use it..there is a cab file for it.

sorry read it wrong.. I thought u needed mms... as for email mine works fine... what I use hotmail.. I dont remember but I think I had to log onto windows live and add my phone in order for it to work..I no for a fact I had to log onto msn and add my phone to make msn work...and by logging on I mean oon my home/work pc log into my account..and some where in settings there is an add mobile device.. for msn and I believe hotmail threw windows live.

I got it to work finally.

Thanks anyways. Gmail was attempting to use a diff connection than my active one.

I flashed to Mighty 4.16 and didn't like it. Then I flashed back to Hermann that Chappy put up and added the Touch Pro Clean Up. The phone was not very responsive, so I decided to go ahead and reflash to Hermann and not put on the Clean Up. In setting up, I'm getting the "error synchronizing" for my Gmail. it worked great when I got it (yeah, couldn't leave well enough alone) and also downloaded emails fine with the Hermann/TPC setup. Trying a hard reset and will reenter the gmail info, but if that fails any ideas? (I tried going to gmail through the google home page, but Opera shrinks the text on the page so tiny, I can't read it. that ain't gonna work!)

Is there a solutuon to this problem? my TP started doing this nonsense too out of the blue. stock here. I deleted account and set up again to no avail.

Well, make sure you have pop enabled in gmail. You'll find it under settings at the top right of your gmail window. Also best to check "Enable pop on messages that arrive from now on" so that it won't pull 2 years of email from your acct.

Username: youremail@gmail.com
Password: your password
Incoming POP: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing SMTP: smtp.gmail.com

Make sure you check outgoing server requires authentication.

Those settings were in place. I deleted and set up again. I think it might have took this time.

I dont know if this will help anyone, but occasionally the problem is on google's end. They dont like you updating your email with pop in shorter spans than 15 min. If they see that you're updating your email too often, they will block you from pop access. (or at least this is what I believe happens) They do let you reset this somewhere. Sadly though, I have lost the link to that. If I find out where to do that, i will post the link.

I guess they will let you back in after 24 hours but this will reset a lockout instantly.
