Music tab stops responding to volume controls

I've been having a recurring problem with the TF3D music tab. It will sometimes stop responding to the volume controls on the phone, not even when putting it to vibrate/silent mode. A hard reset has seemed to be the only thing that I can do to get rid of the problem, so I'm trying to diagnose the cause.

I'd like to see if anyone else has had this problem so maybe I can better diagnose what is causing it. I am running Juggalo_x's rom. I first noticed it after installing Pocket Scrobbler, but I'm not sure if it's related, as it may also be from Diamond TF3D Config, as I remember having to switch to Coreplayer because of issues with the music tab.
