Slow scrolling with favorties for poeple

Hi, is there a way to increase the speed in scrolling through your 15 favorite people? In the demo in the HTC site its nice and fast. Not on mine however. Could it be that the resolution is on the highest for photos?

lol thats because if the demo on the site was slow less people would buy the phone. you can make sure you have stopped all programs in the background. make sure you have plenty of storage space left, over 50 MB is fine. and yes a lower resolution or smaller picture would help a bit.

If you add photos to contacts using the favorites it will add the photo low res which helps speed. I added high res because I use S2u2 and i like having high res photos show up full screen for the slide to answer slide to ignore feature. This slows down the speed greatly though, in scrolling.

1. Add a contact to your favorite list (doesn't matter if a pic is already assigned)

2. Goto your photo tab and pull up a picture.

3. Assign that photo to your contact. (tap picture, tap bottom right menu icon after it pops up, select add to contact (contact list appears), find contact and tap, tap assign to contact)

YOU MUST Do that for ALL contacts in your favorites list and it will be smooth as butter with fast scrolling and the pics will be high rez.....and it doesn't matter the size or resolution.

For some reason though, it sometimes has a slow down when I sync with outlook....I just find the favorite contact pic that's been de-resolutionized and readd that pic from photo tab....problem solved.

maybe a couple speed tweaks might help

using advanced config:
-Performance
---File system Cache - set to 8MB
---File system Filter Cache - set to 131724 sectors(highest available)
---Glyph Cache - set to 128KB

select done to soft reset... maybe that may help a lil

Just adding pics to contacts via the photo tab corrects that problem.

Isn't that for just the today and not TF3D? I'm not sure as I have never used it.
