Won't let me change address in address bar in Opera

I open opera and am directed to google. When i click on the address bar and press backspace to delete the text, it tries to go back a page instead. Also, it will not let me type random letters in the address bar, from the hard keyboard or the visual keyboard. Any help?

did you download the diamond tweak?
