Re: ATI Driver for Touch Pro

Well explain to me how I can have two TP's next to each other one with and one without the driver shooting the same shot and the one with the driver is not blurry, the other slightly blurry to really blurry. Why, I don't know maybe being the cameras view finder is the screen perhaps? I mean you are using the display for everything in the camera. I don't know but test it side by side and you will see. I'm not the only one who has seen the difference.

Re: ATI Driver for Touch Pro

I think the big thing would be the ddi.dll driver, that is located in the xip on most roms. this is what draws everything on the screen. at the time we are limited to only 2 versions that work, the Sprint and Alltel version is the same. The telus version is a newer build, but even that one at times can be iffy.

but the ddi.dll is the big thing that will help determine camera and the entire display, if this driver is not there or the wrong version, one that is incompatable, then it will not boot up.

The camera's "blurry photo" problem has nothing to do with the viewfinder.

Re: ATI Driver for Touch Pro

i don't know how it works on the TP but on computers a video card can also process captured video so upping the efficiency of the video card actually did improve camera and webcam performance. (havent tried these drivers with my phone yet i will try it tonight.)

The blur issue is not relating to video.

Re: ATI Driver for Touch Pro

I don't know why, but there is clearly a difference in the camera behavior on my TP with the ATI driver. In indoor light, when I move the camera around I am getting a stable image much quicker with less "smear". When I hit the button, I get a clear photo. The camera is usable to me now indoors... With the old driver, the image on the screen didn't seem to keep up with what I was pointing it at, unlesss I was dealing with bright, outdoor light.

Placebo or not, I'm happy with the difference!

all a camera is is a method of taking video and processing it into a store able format so that statement is completely false.

if install this, and then decide to uninstall.. does the ati driver leave anything behind? The TP is running damn good, and I don't wanna screw anything up...

Actually all video is is a method of taking many still pictures and processing it into a continuous file, which has a much greater requirement on processing speed and storage speed versus a single high-resolution photo capture, so the statement is completely true. The blur has NOTHING to do with video processing. It can't possibly. Basic photography.
