Do you have to go to a sprint repair store or will all of them exchange them? insurance thing or warranty?

No matter where you bought it, if it has been longer than 30-days, you have to go to a flagship repair location. The tech will examine it, possible for as long as an hour, even with no wait.

If the tech determines it's defective, they will give you a refurbished/used phone. If there are none available, they can give you a new one, at their discretion. They can just as easily place an order to get more refurb/used/returned stock. Many times, that's exactly what they do.

If you have full insurance, you are more likely to get a brand-new replacement in-store. If not, I know that a lot of the time, they will order you a replacement.

12/27/08 build date and its been perfect so far (1 month) No issues whatsoever.

I went to a repair store. Because I do not have insurance they said they would fix/repair replace for $55 or I could send the phone off to the manufacturer. They gave me no other options. Both suck, paying out of pocket or sending off and being without a phone for who knows how long.

I have the original born on 9/08 date. My symptons are the home key being raised and the phone gets very hot when tethering or synced.

I have a 11.13.08 build date and I haven't noticed any of the issues that I see some of the other people have posted. So far so good, even I though I was thinking of downloading the new build dated 2-16-09 on HTC's website. No sure because I haven't heard anything about it yet...

Got my jan09 phone replaced with a 12/24/2008 brand new in box from the Sprint Store and it is perfect. No gaps between the screen and keyboard, no raised home keys, no yellow tint on screen. Lovin this touch pro!

Sprint will not be able to repair these problems. Since you do not have insurance, Sprint will send your phone to the manufacturer, and it will probably take 4-5 weeks.

Just got my replacement Touch Pro from Bestbuy with 1-20-09 built date. Looks perfect and works great. No raised home key.

3/18/2009 - replacement for one with oil slick under screen and sticking volume buttons. This one is my 3rd and the closest to perfect so far.

I still think the TP is one of the most-replaced phones ever. It's still so amazing that people stick with it though. TP2 c'mon baby!

2nd TP received today. Build date 2/24/09. We'll see how long this one lasts. Sprint replaced the first one for a dying keyboard. New one has uneven lighting on hardware keyboard. :\

Ok this is rediculous.

I noticed a scratch on my screen... And it's had a case on the whole time! So I lightly moved my nail on the screen [they're not even sharp] AND THE SCREEN SCRATCHES!

The build quality of HTC products has become pathetic! If your fingernail and normal stylus use scratch the screen like that [in 5 days], there's something wrong!

I agree, I had a mogul for over a year, and only scratched it once with a key.
screen protectors are a MUST for the TP. I assume it's different because of the screen being flush, glass wouldn't work.

7th is a refurb. refurb date may 1 but it only has 2.5 hrs. lifetime on it so i guess it's as close to new as i'm gonna get. sprint is gonna miss me!
