Backlight/Suspend Timeout Issue

I was trying to write a script that turns off backlight/suspend timeouts before running my navigation applications. Because after 5 minutes my screen would turn off, which is very annoying.

The script seemed to change the values/status in the control panel but it had no actual effect on my screen suspending.

So then I made the changes manually I turned off all timeouts for power and backlight in control panel, I scrounged the registry for any other possible timeouts. I closed all applications, including S2U2. With everything closed, on battery power my screen still turns off after 5 minutes, no matter what. Any clues what might be the issue? If it matters I'm running JD 2.15 ROM.

Edit: Problem solved, I set HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeou ts\BattSuspendTimeoutSave to 0. I tried this before, but for some reason doing it a 3rd time seem to take effect. My script now works.
