Assigned "People" with Photos Disappearing

I have the Touch Pro with Sprint. I have flash "Yay 4 Juggs" rom to the phone. I have a problem which I don't know if it is associated with the new Rom or to something else.

I have tried searching for an answer here but really don't even know for sure where to start. The TF3D tab for "People" had 15 or so people assigned (with photos). And several times now they have disappeared. I don't know why they keep going away. Also, my speed dial settings disappear. Ugg. Don't know why this keeps happening.

do you sync with an exchange server? if so this could be the problem. I am currently using mail2web and every so often I will get a message stating that changes have been made to the server that requires resyncing all of the information. When this happens I believe it erases and re-adds the contacts so you have to go back and re-assign your faorites.

I had the same problem with 2 different TPs. Both on the OEM Sprint ROM. So I don't think it's just your ROM. Wish I had an answer.

Me too. I have stock sprint rom and every once in a while, i will lose a favorite contact picture. It's annoying but I just replace it.

No, i don't use exchange server. All email comes through gmail which the device checks each hour.

Thanks for replying because I didn't want to find out it was the new flashed Rom. And I do seem to recall it was doing it while still on the Sprint Rom. Thanks again.

Hey, I wonder if it is something to do with the Active Sync and maybe the settings? Just thinking out loud. There have been a couple times, 2 times, that I recall getting a message from Active Sync saying that for some reason it was necessary to re sync everything, or to re establish a partnership, or something like that. And it may have been at those times that this information was lost. But I have lost the favorites People more than twice, I do believe.

All of my contacts disappear...They only show back up after a soft reset...

Anyone got any suggestions?

This would cause you to lose all of the contact pictures, next time you get the message select no, check your contact pictures, then resync and see if they are gone. This would be the same concept as an exchange server making a change that causes you to have to resync. It is kind of frustrating but luckily it doesnt happen that often. For me I usually end up putting different contacts in my favorites every time because the people I call most have changed.

What ROM are you running, and are you syncing with an exchange server at all. It seems odd that not only are the contacts being erased, but that they come back.
