Installing the invisible shield with gloves?

So I'm looking at this package I got as a Christmas gift, but I'm looking at the box like a horror story. I'm reading all kinds of posts that people got finger prints "permanently" on the under side of the film.

I googled installation opinions with latex gloves. I read about caution using powdered gloves and what not. I have some latex gloves at home that don't have any powder on it. In fact I was planning to wash my hands with the gloves on just to be sure, because in the end I don't want any finger prints on my precious touch pro.

Suggestions would be very invaluable!

Re: Installing the invisible shield with gloves?

I bought the Invisible Shield and installed it just using my hands, and everything turned out great! My best recommendation: use the spray VERY liberally! Make sure that your fingers are constantly damp, as well as the screen protector. Once you get the screen protector in the spot you want, bust out the good ol' squeegee and bring the liquid solution out to the edges.

Good luck!

Re: Installing the invisible shield with gloves?

I installed one on my Centro. It takes a long time but its not hard. I didn't use the spray, but rather soapy-water. Just keep your hands moist at all times, like johnny said. I didn't like the texture personally, but they are sold to protect and that they do. They sent me two by accident, and I decided to test on the second one. I took a pen at it, darn thing wouldn't rip. So, I can attest for their claims.

Good Luck.

yes IS meant to put a big label that said SOAK BOTTLE not spray bottle. My first one had barely any spray and i got it looking horrid. Second time around i used glass cleaner, used about the whole bottle (the IS bottle filled with glass cleaner) just on the front, i soaked it and the screen slid perfectly, had no problem positioning it or squeegeeing it and it stuck on contact, didn't harm the phone and no bubbles or finger prints

doesn't take long, but you must do it right, and the first one i took off my phone... put a key too it like in the demo videos, it holds up with great force, but eventually does break

Re: Installing the invisible shield with gloves?

Make sure you wash your hands before you do this as well. After you give them a good drying, rub your hands together so you don't have any little fuzzies from the towel.

As most people have said, be generous with spraying onto the IS and the TP.

wash your hands and DO NOT USE Kleenex or anything that will get the dirt inside and take your time.

Re: Installing the invisible shield with gloves?

I used non-powered gloves and plenty of spray. I coated my fingertips with the spray prior to handling the invisible shield. Mine came out great. I also turned on the shower on hot and let it steam up the bathroom prior to installation to keep dust and particulates out of the air.
