Re: Cab file location on computer?
Usually /Program Files/Microsoft ActiveSync/App Name
But its not always there. Which app are you looking to get the cab from?

Re: Cab file location on computer?
Nothing specific at the moment, but there are some apps that I would rather have the cab for instead of installing through activesync.
I'm using Vista, and only see this directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft ActiveSync, but nothing is in there. |

Re: Cab file location on computer?
If the original installer came as a .exe, just unpack it with WinZip or something similar.

Otherwise, though, simplest thing is to pop on here or xda-developers and search for the program you want. Odds are someone's already made the cab available on either forum. That or Google the name of it and the word "cab". At least one of those options has never let me down. |

Re: Cab file location on computer?
I tried to do this with Pocket HTML to get the cab file, however, it did not work. Any ideas on how to extract the cab from it? Or similar files? It is a .exe.

Do I need to do something different? I was reading about the Universal Extractor, and it seems it should work. Maybe I'm not doing something right. |
