I guess that would work. I was just saying you can't give your phone to someone and have an insurance claim on it under someone else's account because they check.

That is pretty much my plan all along. A buddy of mine has a sprint account with a Moto Q. The hardest part would be prying it out of his hands if he actually got to use it for a week!

I already have spare batteries and chargers coming so I can use it again. I guess I will do the old battery swap until I can get it repaired. Even if I had to I will just send it in to HTC and pay them to fix it.

Now if I can get the stock rom back on it and relocked without a USB port I will be money!

Now, don't forget to flash the stock ROM and lock your SPL.

Well, I extracted the .nbh from the shipped sprint rom and flashed it from a spare sd card I keep just for flashing. Now just need to research if the relocker could be flashed the same way.

I believe it can, but you need the NBH file from the Relocker (It's one of the attachments in this thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503)

I already have the file, extracted a little .nbh file from the relocker.exe I just need to know first if it can be safely flashed from the SD card. Still need to do more research.

I don't want you to hold me accountable for any issue that arises, but I see no reason why it won't work. The phone will handle it just like if it was connected to your computer. It's just loading the same file from a different location.

I thought I read that you cant flash the spl from the card, but I can't find those posts. Maybe that was for the Titan though. I guess I will just have to try it...

Well, already got an email back from HTC, they referred me to their CDMA repair facility and gave a number. I called them, they gave me an address to ship it to for evaluation. We will have to see about that though...
