Re: Any alternatives to Outlook?
check out live.mail2web.com - it's a free activesync service.
Has a web interface that is nice to change calendar / contact info with. I recommend this to all my windows mobile friends/family that can't activesync through work. |

Re: Any alternatives to Outlook?
This is also a possibility for you
http://my.funambol.com/c/portal/layout?p_l_id=default You can sync you contacts to your funambol account and it will not sync to your computer, or it can sync to outlook if you keep it. I use it in addition to using regular activesync. Also it will push email to you on one account. |

http://dashwire.com/
one more. This will sync your contacts among other things to an account similar to funambol. I have never synced from account to phone so I am not sure how well it works. I have only synced from phone to account. Even if you use another service Dashwire is pretty cool and worth checking out. |

Re: Any alternatives to Outlook?
+1 dashwire is a full feature sync tool. It syncs everything u could want. Pix text, calendar, tasks, text, and contacts. It will allow u if running on the phone to send text from the web interface thru the phone. You can edit contacts and ringer settings right from the web interface as well.
Its freeware and does not cost a dime. |

Re: Any alternatives to Outlook?
I really only use the Calendar and Tasks list in Outlook...do any of these offer those? I don't really need to update my contacts very often.

Re: Any alternatives to Outlook?
Dashwire will sync bookmarks, pictures, videos, contacts, calls, speed dials and will allow you to update your facebook prfile and twitter account.
Funambol will sync contacts, an email account of your choice, and calendar but I do not see tasks on there, although I suspect it might. IF you manage to find a way to keep outlook you can download a plugin for outlook that will sync with funambol and will basically serve the same function as active sync but it will use their servers and do it over the air. |
