Re: Wake on SMS
Yeah I have noticed that CDMA devices tend to wake up a lot more often than their GSM counter-parts.
Can someone clarify for me? The "problem" with the Diamond is that it doesn't even make a SOUND, right? As if, the phone doesn't wake up, doesn't do anything? Or does it do everything you want, like the sound, vibrate, etc, but just not turn on the screen? I got the idea that people were missing alerts and whatnot, because it wasn't alerting--at all. If all it's doing is not turning on the screen, why the hell would anyone want to change that? I wish badly that my screen on would stay off most of the time. It would be really awesome if it was a "togglable" setting that programs like PhoneWeaver and SPB Phone could manage, based on profiles... Keep the phone from lighting up at night, or during the a movie, but have it wake up at work, or whatever... |

Re: Wake on SMS
Generally the phone wakes up for certain things. I don't think programs are able to stop that, because they'd have a hard time differentiating between you turning the device on intentionally and the device turning on by itself.

Re: Wake on SMS
I see several folks saying that DisableSMSWakeUpEvent does not work on CDMA TPs and so far I have not gotten it to stop the phone from waking on getting an SMS. But I was curioius, what should the DisableSMSWakeUpEvent key be? A string value, binary value, or DWORD value? I created it as a decimal DWORD value.
Please excuse me if that's a dumb question, I'm new to WM. |
