Double check these settings and report back please,

Open up HTC GPS Tool. Set Chip to Q 7500 and mode to Cold Start (left soft key for those who dont know) then set baud to 4800 and open port.

Settings >> SYSTEM >> External GPS
Programs Tab- GPS Program Port: Com4
Hardware Tab- GPS Hardware Port: None, Baud Rate: 4800
Access Tab- Checkmark on "Manage GPS automatically"

And your sure your Location is set to ON and not 911?

ok you seen 1 sat so things are working.. the issue is you're not getting a good enough signal from the sat's to connect.... go into your settins and deselect teh setting that turns off your backlight... first up teh gps tool with the selections as needed.... lay your phone at a window and walk away from it.... give it a little time 10 minutes or so and check it....the first connection is the hardest.. after that it normally will nail it in 20 seconds or less

I searched but missed a clear answer on this....

I had GC Rom first and applied his GPS fix to my vzw TP & bored fix as well. all worked...

Needed more memory so updated to SSK 1.5 rom...just recently

Here is what I cannot understand?

Does Bored rom require GC GPS fix (my guess is no)? I ask because I have lost it and QPST b.301 does not show me my device modem to add the port anymore since my rom switch to remove the GPS settings?

Advise...

Edit: Finally got it to work....however the question still haunts me "GC Settings are in my Device" is this OK or should I remove them (if possible) with the QPST tool?

GC's fix is an aGPS fix (assisted GPS) which the Verizon Touch Pro is not capable of using aGPS at this time. Unless you are using VZNavigator.

My GPS fix is to unlock the GPS chip which Verizon so kindly locked down for us.

LiveSearch is great for that and more. Here is a link http://www.livesearchmobile.com/
