Turn Off HTC Touch Pro "Notifications" / Missed Calls / Voice Mail

All,

Does anyone know how to make the HTC Touch Pro STOP giving me a "notification" in the lower left of the today page for missed calls / voice mail / etc. I hate having to dismiss it each time a call comes in. I end up having to dismiss the "missed call" and then dismiss the "voice mail", etc. etc..

Any thoughts? Thanks...

I'd like to see the answer to this question as well.. Very annoying.. I find myself spending a lot of time dismissing these notifications.

Re: Turn Off HTC Touch Pro "Notifications" / Missed Calls / Voice Mail

It's strange because there seems to be a way to do it under settings / sounds & notifications / Notifications Tab / changing even to "phone /missed call", and unchecking "display message on screen". But it doesn't work. The notification comes each time regardless.

I found a registry change that turns off the SMS notification, not the VM or missed message thing.

Re: Turn Off HTC Touch Pro "Notifications" / Missed Calls / Voice Mail

Sometimes I have to soft boot after making notification settings changes for them to be applied.

If I remember correctly, I checked both "Display message on screen" for missed and voice mail, soft booted, un-checked both, and soft booted again.

Give that a try and see if it resolves your issue. Peace.

Good idea, but no luck.. Still getting all the notifications!

What program is popping these messages up? Is there a registry setting that I can directly change?

Re: Turn Off HTC Touch Pro "Notifications" / Missed Calls / Voice Mail

Nope... And I"m also having problems with the screen saver not kicking in. The screen just stays on. I've changed the power settings, soft booted, and then done it again. Still will not go off...

Any ideas?

Re: Turn Off HTC Touch Pro "Notifications" / Missed Calls / Voice Mail

Click on Start > Settings > Phone >Services (Tab at Bottom) > Voicemail (from list) > Hit "Get Settings" > Tap "Clear Voicemail"

Hit hang up and you will see it dissappear. I have only had to do this 2 times in the last 3 months...
