Real Stupid Move Please Help (water)

OK so i hated the back of the touch pro because it always squeak!!
but there is none in stock to exchange so i decied to put vaseline (grease) on the door the **** work perfect....
.......perfect .......perfect.....until i took it to the store for an exchange
the freaking water in damage indicator said i had stripes .....is there anyway to go around that?

Nope...

There are threads on how to fix the squeak. You can put some blue painters tape on the back of the battery cover.

EDIT 2: Did Sprint say the water damage indicator went off or are you saying? Mine is criss-crossed red lines over a white paper...

the Sticker has red x stripes is that water damages?
i thought the sticker had to be red?

I understand that you took your Pro for an exchange but that due to the water indicator caused by Vaseline, they wont exchange it? you wanted to phuk your Pro.lol...!!! Well if my assumption is correct, you still can get an exchange from Asurion with a 50 bucks deductible. Then, you may just get lucky if you try another store....

YEAH MINES IS CRISS CROSSED LINES and white background and i went to sprint and they told me it has water damages

please take a look at ur sticker mines is white backgrond with criss cross stripes....

Seeing as how vaseline is a petroleum based substance and therefore is a lipid and NOT water and also does not conduct electricity, I don't see any problems. Your indiator should look like criss crossed red lines that will smear red when wet.
