Completely agree that the KB is a heat related issue. I'm a pretty heavy user and I'm constantly having to charge my phone. I notice that parts of the keyboard get extremely hot. The area around the r,e,w,s,d,f,,z,x,c keys get noticeably warmer than the rest of the phone. And not coincidently it's the same area where the keyboard ribbon and the trap door (when the phone is open) is. So maybe the heat issue is melting the kb ribbon and it slowly deteriorates over time?

Since switching to the Telus radio prevents the phone from overheating, maybe that's why you've had better luck? Is there a noticeable difference as far as your phone getting hot with the Telus radio? Maybe I'll give that a shot when I get a replacement for my replacement
