I'm pretty sure you are mistaken because under 'Technical Details' for the 16gb card it says:

Speed performance rating: Class 4 (based on SD 2.00 Specification)

No they're not. The 2 means the card is a specification 2.0 card. The 16-gig might be a 2 though.

Wrong to my knowledge the number on the card is the class speed just like in the link i provided below is a class 4 card which is why there is a (4 on the card.

http://www.nextag.com/614157797p/prices-html class 4 card with a (4 on the card
http://www.memoryx.net/tf8gbc6.html class 6 card with a (6 on the card

Your right i didn't see that in the specifications but the card they are showing has a (2 on the card meaning Class 2. I am yet to see anything higher than a class 2 16gb micro sdhc card.

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong. But like i said earlier to my knowledge the number on the card is the class rating.

Well call me stupid... my bad, my over eager slick deals minded perusing got the better of me and my comprehension skills =)

Between flipping from Meritline, supermediastore, newegg for the best deal on a reliable card with decent to better read & write speeds..

I wish a website that reviewed PC stuff did a quarterly breakdown/testing of such cards...advertised speeds rates and how close they really are to them, etc etc...you think Toms Hardware or some place would do this (not expensive to put together) and get hit/page views from folks like myself.

I highly doubt a page dedicated to memory card test would take off, but then again worse ideas have brought in millions.

i don't think the 2 on those cards means class 2, but that 16gb sandisk you linked is probably a class 2. i googled the part number and all the 16gb sandisk cards that came up either stated class 2 or didn't disclose - except for that amazon listing (but if you look at the reviews one person says class 2)

i'm also thinking the highest for 16gb is class 2... unless you buy off ebay of course haha

did you look at the cards that i posted they have there class numbers in the title and has the number on the card. What other reason would they have for putting those numbers there??

A-Data seems to be the only Class 6 8gb Micro SD card I can find. I'm particular to Sandisk, but I got an 8GB class 2 Sandisk. I assume this will be significantly different as far as transfer speeds?
