Transcend is reputable, so you shouldn't have more issues than with SanDisk

I have had luck with transcend but I can't say the same for A-Data. Now I haven't tried any A-Data micro's but I have had several minisd's that just didn't work or was giving me all kinds of weird errors. Now maybe it had something to do with the fact that most of them I bought off of ebay, still though all the other transcends and sandisks I bought off ebay worked just fine so who knows.

I have an A-data card. It's an 8gb class 6 card that I purchased from newegg. Other than some lag every now and then, it seems like a decent card...

HTC Tech Support informed me that card class is really just indicative of write speed, and not read speed. Therefore, if you are simply accessing files from your card (i.e. listening to mp3's stored on microsd), class is irrelevant. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

Class 4 16GB sandisk:

Class 6 6gb Transcend:

Didn't see any sandisk 8gb class 6 though..

EDIT: I believe this is a class 6 8gb:

Although it's wikipedia...
SD Speed Class Ratings

SDHC cards have SD Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[18]
  • Class 2: 2 MB/s
  • Class 4: 4 MB/s
  • Class 6: 6 MB/s
SDHC cards will often also advertise a maximum speed (such as 133x or 150x) in addition to this minimum Speed Class Rating. See section Speeds above for a further explanation. One critical difference between the Speed Class and the maximum speed ratings is the ability of the host device to query the SD card for the speed class and determine the best location to store data that meets the performance required. "Maximum speed" ratings are quoted by the manufacturers but unverified by any independent evaluation process.

Every card you just provided a link to was a class 2 card. There is a big (2 on every one lol but yet you say that they are class 4 and 6. The highest 16gb card they currently make is a class 2.

No they're not. The 2 means the card is a specification 2.0 card. The 16-gig might be a 2 though.
