Check the thread I linked to at the top of this page. The SNES emu that I posted about works for VGA displays wonderfully. |

Re: SNES, NES, and Genesis Emualtors - Come and get em!
People say that there is lagg and whatnot in the emulators, and if you put on sound, it's even worse.
SNES works perfectly with sound on my Sprint Touch Pro. I use the built in keyboard for all my buttons. The only problem, is no matter what I do, Up is always left, left is always down, down is left, and right is down. I use JD's custom rom. Works well, Speeds up the phone a bit too (and makes it so the emulators don't lagg). Downside: I don't know if it's the rom, or if my sprint screwed something up, but I can only text to AT&T, I can't text to T-mobile, or Verizon. The keyboard doesn't work originally with emulators, the keyboard views as only like 3 or 4 different buttons in total(Even though it has well over 30, so you can't assign keys to it. It's caused by the T9. I can't remember where, but you can get a little cab file on Xda somewhere that disables the T9 support, and that will allow you to use all the hardware buttons on the keyboard. Downside: You can't use the symbol menu anymore ("sym" key to the left of the space bar gets disabled). Pisses me off. Alternatively, you can get a program called Keyboard for touch pro. That just lets you turn off the T9 with a button, and you can put it back on later. however, If you have CE-Star on your phone(Japanese/chinese Input), like myself, It won't work. So your only choice if you want to keep CE-Star but still use the keyboard for emulators, is to use the cab that kills T9, unfortunately. |

OsirisFael - it's interesting that you comment on the lack of lag, but you also have a GSM version of the Touch Pro. I've yet to hear about a lack of lag on the CDMA version of the touch pro - hence my questions. I've found out today that lag is greatly reduced if you use the cab file that I referenced above - which disables T9. It's much worse if I try to use "K For Touch Pro". But now, Genesis and Finalburn are very playable without a bluetooth joystick. I'm hoping there's a custom ROM for CDMA phones that will allow us to get rid of any remaining lag. For now, disabling T9 is a good improvement to emulation with the keyboard. That said OsirisFael, it's impossible that your experience of SNES is full speed. While it's playable for me, the best experience I get is maybe halfspeed - and that's with Nop's emulator with VGA support. |

Are you using a custom rom? If not, I suggest it. |
