Re: SNES, NES, and Genesis Emualtors - Come and get em!
Guys for buttons I use the keyboard:
UP: W DOWN: Z LEFT: A RIGHT: D A: N B: M C: / X: J Y: K START: 1 SELECT: 2 MENU: Shift Typically that's how I set it up.... Funny thing is...a couple of the games ran better on my PPC 6700 than they do on Touch Pro. Last edited by igotgame; 12-14-2008 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: SNES, NES, and Genesis Emualtors - Come and get em!
For which one?
I couldn't get that done w/ SNES. Many keys were just duplicates in configuration screen. For example, I want W for UP, choose it, S for Left, choose it, and the W I chose is taken out when I pick the S for the Left.. |

This thread helped me get my keyboard to work. However there seems to be some kind of problem with the keyboard causing lag in games. No custom rom seems to fix this for sprint. I have heard that they have fixed this problem with one of the custom roms with the ATT Fuze. Idk but thats where I gave up... |

The Keyboard solution is here: (as stated earlier)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=425646&page=4 File K for TP 1.0.0.3 Any key on the keyboard can now be programmed Read the directions Must run K for TP first (turn on MS IME) and minimize then run your emulator when done - switch back to eT9 and close K for TP works like a charm for me |

Re: SNES, NES, and Genesis Emualtors - Come and get em!
Has anyone got zero lag using the keyboard on their CDMA Touch Pro?
Emulation is actually GREAT and fast on the Touch Pro. Definitely faster than my stock 6700 (416mhz) though not as fast as when I overclocked it to 624. Which tells me that video drivers ARE working with this VGA screen, which would otherwise slow performance to a crawl. The problem is, that when you use keyboard buttons (even with K for Touch Pro) - the games slow down ridiculously. You can prove this by using an emulator with touchscreen controls or simply using the exterior buttons. I've been using a bluetooth gamepad (BGP100) and it works great, except for the fact the gamepad sucks, there's a tiny delay in button presses, and I'm not going to carry the gamepad everywhere. Some European users report NO lag using the keyboard for emulators (with K for Touch Pro). Does anyone see the same results with a custom ROM? If we can solve the keyboard lag issues, I think this phone would be great for emulation on the go. |

Re: SNES, NES, and Genesis Emualtors - Come and get em!
I think I found a partial solution for the keyboard issues. It's the XT9 software on our phone that's causing the keyboard lag. It interrupts keyboard presses as it tries to predict words being typed!
You don't need to install K for Touch Pro anymore - I believe. Use the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...81&postcount=5 Edit: I just realized that lag doesn't go away completely but it's much improved. Using the center button on the outside of the phone's buttons still gives you faster performance than any keyboard button. But I think I'm going to continue with the use of this cab - instead of using k for touch pro. I do get some improvement where games are playable now.
