Some ideas for software* "Developer Needed: Feature Ideas for Touch Pro" & PPCGeeks

Here are some ideas I have for our awesome programmers! I'm not sure if they would be best in cab format or cooked into custom roms, but here they are:


1) Better light sensor for the TP
- Possibly better sensitivity. Doesn't seem like i can ever get it to go to the most dim setting in pitch darkness! The light, it hurts my little eyes!

2) Unlock today items positions by default
- This is probably better suited to roms like by n2c but, would be nice if we could have a cab that when run checks all of the active home items are unlocked :P
- Ok you can do this but it's not for the lazy!

Unlocking/Locking Items into position on today screen

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Plugin you want to lock or Unlock"
change TYPE from 5 to 4

5=locked
4=unlock

3) Vibration strength slider
- Maybe vary the strength for diff events. Say calls get 1 level, txt another.

4) Enable/disable inet on home screen!
- I know it's possible but just a pain in the butt to make. Maybe a cab that adds the shortcut to the menu? or something we can drop in somewhere like the SPB menu :P

- One solution is to program the long press end key to disable the inet connection. this can be found in the settings menu. But the end key long press could also be used for other things, so a different solution would still be good :P

5) Custom sound for each txt msg from different people.
- So each person would have their own sound assigned to them. I use chewbacca for my txt's!

6) Assign different abilities to the apple rolly polly
- Maybe this could be made into the scroll wheel as on the titan which controls sound?

7) Toggle Capacitive function of button area

- It would be nice to make a utility that allowed you to use the DPAD without pressing down... I would like to expand the capacitive area for the directions and not have to push. Just tap. (thanks Sauman)

-Allows you to disable button press for lower functions - only need a finger touch to answer or end calls (thanks Sauman)

remap home and back keys to soft keys (on screen soft keys)
- to make it like the titan, where instead of touching the screen you can hit those keys.

Have you tried Lumos or G-Light? both allow you to change the brightness level for different light sensor values.
