Yeah. It's a loyalty credit. I tried pricematching. No Sprint stores here had any TPs left! Ugh. Hence, WorstBuy... I mean, BestBuy

Re: Sprint Touch Pro $199.99 with 2/yr upgrade or new BESTBUY 01-04-2009: Deal is BAC
Just wanted to also say I got a Touch Pro from Best Buy. My previous phone was a Treo 700wx (and before that, various Palm WM devices, and 1 Palm OS pda). When I had called Sprint before buying the phone, they told me I could only choose - either $150 equipment upgrade, or $70 renewal credit. I decided to get the phone first, then call for renewal just in case the renewal prevented me from getting the upgrade credit (and thus the phone). Called Sprint after getting the phone and haggled for about 2 minutes, and they gave me the $70 credit.
Girlfriend also got the TP, even though she just signed up for sprint in July of 2008. She got the Mogul previously, but really didn't like it so she's extremely happy to get the TP. Buying through best buy just extended her contract another two years (we both have SERO $30), and she was able to get it despite being nowhere close to her renewal (I was already past 22 months). Anyways, the phone is worlds better than my 700wx, except for a couple of things: 1. Treo buttons - my gf was able to dl it for her mogul, where you have buttons on your today screen that you can just quickly touch to speed dial someone. Does the TP have this too? 2. One handed usage- the treo was much easier to use 1 handed, but I'll hopefully get used to the TP within the next few days 3. Laggyness - the TP is just not as quick as my treo 700wx. My question is - can you install programs to the SD card? The TP was okay out of the box, but once I added a couple of programs, it's slowed considerably where Opera takes about 20 seconds to open these days. Overall, the TP is a great phone, and it came at a GREAT price. |

For question 3, yes you can. When you open the CABs, it'll ask where you want to install it.

For question no. 1, the TouchPro has a tab in TF3D for contacts. It's not a list like the Treo, but it allows you to scroll through your favorites or you can select them from the small image on the side.

not the most efficient way to make daily phone calls to certain people. it was a lot easier on the Treo to either hit the button from my today screen, or simply press a key and hold it down. Yes I can pull up the dialpad and do it, yes I can access it via TF3D and scroll through to the picture, but again, I'm just used to that easy convenience of having it right there. Call me spoiled, but just noting the differences between the two devices.

I got my TP for $250 from Best buy on the 31st, will I be able to get the $50 back using the price match since they now have it for $200??
