Thanks! Here's something else to consider, BB's holiday return policy started 11/1 - perhaps those who bought it beyond 30 days but after 11/1 could argue it was a "gift" to get the extended return policy for price matching.

If the customer service rep is nice, it would be the exchange date. Just give it a shot and be very polite and you have a 99% chance of getting it

wow, good deal for $ 199/ plus tax. I wish I was eligible for 2 yrs upgrade, my two yrs term will come in May 2009. Any way, to talk with Sprint to upgrade early? Please advise.

You may be able to get a Best Buy rep to call in and get it bumped up. Mine was all hosed since I test drove the Instink for 48 hrs this summer. The Best Buy rep spent 20mins on the phone w/ Sprint to take care of it for me.

When did you buy the phone from Sprint? If it's within the return window for the phone, you MIGHT be able to convince Sprint not only to give you the $100 but also to send you the $100 for the mail-in-rebate instead of your having to wait for that. Just explain that you saw a Best Buy offer and since your still within that window you were thinking of returning your current phone so you could take advantage of that lower price, but wanted to give them a chance to match it first. If you are nice and matter-of-fact about it, they may do this. They did something similar for me for my Treo 800w back in July.

If it's not within that window, though, then obviusly you can't return the phone so they have no real NEED to give you the money, although I suppose they could do it to be nice if you begged and pleaded Who knows!
