Re: Earpiece crackles, hardware or software issue?
Some people have reported that a full hard reset took care of most issues out of the box like this. Have you done that yet?

Re: Earpiece crackles, hardware or software issue?
I am surprised no one has yet given you the search or die comments. ;O) In Baffels sticky at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42730 he says that doing a hard reset on the phone may remove this problem.
I have tried it on my Sprint version to no avail. I use this mostly with Bluetooth or in the car with the radio where their is no problem so I doubt it is the software. I have contemplated taking mine back but it works so much better than my Mogul in many other ways I am thinking I might live with it. Zarlof. |

I had the same issue with my phone. It had the muffled speaker and i just went to the local sprint store and replaced it for a brand new one since i had 30 days to return it. Once i got my new phone i did the audiopara fix and its all good from there. It now has a perfect earpiece/speaker. If you still have 30 days since you bought the phone i would suggest you call ur local store and go get it replaced. Good luck! TK
