Re: ie and GPS not working..

so im doing a little research on my issue, and i think my gps isnt working because my ie doesnt work, they seem to be tied together somehow, because any other web based client works flawlessly but the stock ones (except opera mobile) wont pull in data. hmm, i still am trying to hold out from this hard reset, its not a MAJOR issue for me, but definately frustrating as i would like to use ie and gps (obviously) in certain situations

Re: ie and GPS not working..

Tmz, I am debating whether to install Kinoma or not due to the hijacking of file association. Is that easy to revert by just checking and unchecking or wass da deal?
Blue, got any back ups man? why don't u ininstall all da recent isht and see what happens? or may be i can get you the original file that you replaced for the button hacks, those are .dll stuff, messy messy)

!!! that might be it, i didnt hear anything about a file hijacking association issue with kinoma, and i definately installed that mess, funny thing is, in my quest to fix this issue of mine, i un-installed a few apps and restored some reg-edits to see if it would fix the issue and i still have the same problem, so do you think kinoma play has something to do with IE not working... i uninstalled it but i still cant connect (assuming that would be the cause)

Re: ie and GPS not working..

I doubt it is Kinoma dowg,I am suspecting may be just may be you dropped a file/or did a reg edit under IE, I never messed with it, but may be comparing ie file may be helpful assuming we locate them somewhere with resco or else..whatcha think dude?

Re: ie and GPS not working..

well i know for a fact that i didnt do any reg edits under IE.. but its worth a shot if you want to post what you got.. i appreciate the help though btw, i know i did a few file edits with total commander, but im going to assume they have nothing to do with ie as they were only for the icon hacks.. (battery, speaker, start menu, signal bars, bluetooth, ect)

You are right about the hijacking of files. That's the reason why I put the kabosh to Kinoma. Couldn't figure out how to stop that. So I had to get rid of it.

blue4shizzle, good luck on it. Might be easier to do that hard reset.
