Alltel users what rom are you running?

Just picked up the Touch Pro and would like to know what the Alltel folks are using?

Instead of load ROM after ROM, just wanted a heads up on what is working?

Majority of peeps are Sprint, can I get some Alltel love/info?

TIA,

Cen~Flo.

I haven't flashed my pro yet. Been studying the available roms but haven't decided on one yet. Let me know if you try any.

I've already tried two, but I'm still using my Vouge as my primary phone. I wanna get one ROM locked in on the Pro before I set everything up.

Just wanna know what works the best.

Everyone seems to be Sprint around these parts...

I flashed to Nex's VzW ROM last night and I love it. It's loaded with all the classic elements u'd come to expect from him: Speed, Consistancy, and great games and programs...just soft reset before customizations run and voila! Now if only I could get rid of that pesky Verizon splash screen...j/k mite as well leave it the way things are going!

Re: Alltel users what rom are you running?

I really want to start trying out these custom roms, but I thought there was no working solution to get MMS (picture mail) to work. All these custom roms are built from telus or sprint or verizon phones, so I've heard the MMS doesn't work on an alltel phone. Can someone tell me if I'm wrong. Raculpeper, is your MMS working after installing Nex's custom rom?

Re: Alltel users what rom are you running?

I'm working on my own ROM based on eRice's kitchen... It's working ok for me at the moment, but I get a goofy issue with my data connection every so often where I have to soft reset for it to connect properly.

It's taking awhile for me to rip out all the Sprint stuff that was integrated into his ROM as well, but I do have the Arcsoft MMS working, although I haven't tested sending / receiving any picture messages.

If I can bang out a solid Alltel ROM this week I may look at posting it up here.

Re: Alltel users what rom are you running?

I can try and get a custom alltel rom up this week for the Pro. I work tonight and that is about it. Finals. But that isnt to much either. So I will try and get a Pro rom up this week. Base it off 20764 OS. All the tweaks in there. With working MMS. I have custom running now. My phone canvas is messed up, but that is an easy fix. I will get something in motion though.

IIRC, the Pro and Diamond ROMs are basically the same, right?

I ended up going with Juggalos ROM (Telus) and it's doing well for now.

I did a soft reset before customization and loaded the Alltel DCD's. I'm still running the Vogue as of this morning, but will active the Pro today.

Re: Alltel users what rom are you running?

Juggalo should have an update coming soon. next day or so, if it isnt yet today. I am helping him right now get some fine tuning done on his. Once we have that I think he will release.

We now have a way to change the build date and the Rom version number. So the orange number when you boot up. haha not a big deal, but is nice. Troubles we are having right now is partioning is wrong. only showng 72 mb free space. so we are trying to get that fixed now.
