i agree...definitely buried. i may try it today. i'm loaded up with mess all day, but i'm definitely ready to try anything other than the stock alltel rom. good work conflipper.

Ok...there is one strange little problem that i'm noticing with your test rom conflipper. The start button in the top left corner is being a pain and does not like to acknowledge when i press it sometimes. I have no idea what would cause this. It's really finicky. Maybe the area set to respond to the start being pressed is smaller then it should? i have no clue. Whenever i want to press the start it takes a few tries half the time. I've used windows mobile touch screens for years and never had this problem that i can recall. But everything else is working great. Any clue?

Use Juicy's ROM 4.2 if you're a heavy googlemaps person.
If not, then go back to juicy's 3.9 ROM.

The 3.9 ROM is probably the most stable ROM out there and it is the fastest and has the best battery on it too.

It is faster than 4.2, but it doesn't have the street view for google maps.

Did you realize this is about the Touch Pro? and not the Diamond.

I have not seen that issue yet, I will look into it and see if I can pinpoint it down. thanks for letting me know about this.

Saying thanks Conflipper. I am using your rom and running smoothly. Haven't notcied anything out of the ordinary and love the fact that Opera is the default browser. I will have a full day at work to test it out and show it off to all the 6800 users at work so lets hope it keeps up. Thanks for the good work and consider me a follower. ^.^'

Was wondering if you might be experiencing the same little problem I described above?

I haven't been having that issue sadly. I found that with this Rom it is default for any face key to turn it on and sometimes my data connect will turn on, but nothing that is too devastating.

Stock rom was not like this? I will look into it. something will be out in the next few days. It sounds like for the most part there are not to many issues. I have some updated programs and drivers to use in it. I will play around with facekeys though. and then also about the data, I will try and find it all out.

No problem. If it can be said without being corny, your's was my first custom rom and you will always hold a special spot on my Touch Pro ^.^' Hehe, I will be waiting for it.

The face keys are set to wake the phone up because of the setting at Start-Settings-System-Key Lock. Then change to "Lock all buttons except Power button". And as far as your data connect turning on, it might be QuickGPS or Weather or Email or something. I really don't think there is any problem there.
