i just have one question. if a lot of sprint reps dont know when phones will be released how in the h e double hockey sticks could you expect them to know about a recall or software issues. they told me the phone wasnt available yet and i was holding it in my hand WITH the sprint logo on the front. figure that one out. sorry just my two cents.

When I returned the treo 700p because I knew the 700w was right around the corner, Sprint told me the 700w was being recalled (on verzion that this time) and will never be sold. These are the times I wish I had a hidden camera on me at all times.

Technically speaking though, Sprint never did offer the 700w. Thankfully they only sold the 700wx, which had enough RAM to boot the darn thing as opposed to VZW's 700w.

BTW, I have heard multiple rumors that the Touch Pro is being revised for release in January... They way it sounded was that it was both physically [build/chrome] and software

I was told something along those lines today. I was p***** around from advanced tech support to telesales to retention to customer service and back. All departments told me that the phone was on backorder and that there was no end in sight for when it would be off back order. The rep at telesales explained to me that there are currently no warehouses keeping them in stock. I asked if the issues were being address and he said yes

This could indicate that they are going to correct some issues. They would not confirm about the silver trim. However that would be expected because they were replacing phones on these conditions

cracked or chiping of silver edges. under normal use
battery drainage under normal use
overheating and radio malfunction

I hope sauraman is on to something. I seem to have got a whiff of some today.

P.S. They are giving me a touch diamond until the TP comes back out. I reported an issue within 30 days so they are honoring my 30 warranty since I am a new customer.
