Screen Backlight stays on

In a similar vein - Does the backlight go off during a call if you don't make any selection?

Is there a way to regulate this?

I have a simmilar problem as the OP. Whenever I plug my phone into my PC to charge/sync, the backlight turns on. Hitting the power button on the phone does turn it back off, but only for about 30 seconds - 1 minute - then it comes back on again.

It seems like the phone wants to have the backlight on the entire time it is connected to the PC. Since I charge the phone via the PC overnight this is very annoying to me and I am also worried about it reducing the lifetime of the screen.

I have tried messing with all the powerr ooptions and can't find any contorl over this - is there any way to have the screen *NOT* come on while synching ? Or at least the backlight?

my phones backlight just started to stay on. I have my backlight set to turn off in 10 secs. I really don't want to restart hard reset my phone and install everything back on. any help will be greatly appreciated.
