My Location on/off program...

Hello all!

I like to have my location off most of the time, but when I need to use GPS I turn it on.

Does anyone know of an program where I can just press an on/off button for it, instead of navigating the phone settings all the time, I feel a button would be much nicer then having to look at WM Settings everytime...

If I could code, I would do it myself...

There's a program called mortscript. It is very easy to make a small macro that will switch your location settings.

You could make it yourself even if you have limited programming knowledge!

I am going to play with the Mortscript. Although I am a complete novice with scripts, I believe I could figure it out.

It's pretty easy to use. Does that .cab work for you?

Re: My Location on/off program...

Honestly I can't tell.

I installed the cab and did a soft reset, however it does not make any changes to the "My Location" setting. I am not sure if it is working or not.

They all say that. Instead of clicking "My location" just go to the menu & click "use GPS". That will work & does the same thing......

Re: My Location on/off program...

I know that HTC GPS Tool works great for turning on the GPS & getting a satellite lock, but will it actually turn it off also???
