Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro

Posting from my free tether thanks to you!

I am connect through USB cable on my Verizon touch pro. I simply installed ICSInstall.CAB after installing Mightyrom6. I didn't do any other steps.

I don't plan to try bluetooth since I'll be charging my phone through my laptop or if my laptop isn't plugged in why bluetooth and burn up more power.

VZ network will play youtube vids without having to buffer but when you step up to HQ or HD vids it can't keep up and must stop to buffer.

Woah just got a text while using ICS. Didn't know that would work. I'm pretty sure I can't get calls though when using ICS?

Anybody experience this? I'm thinking it has something to do with WMWifirouter.

FYI: I am running a custom ROM too (Scott's home cooked ROM - SSK 1.6). This could be the problem too, but I thought I'd ask around first.
im having this problem too now i cannot get my regular data connection on my verizon touch pro after running wmwifi router i've done *228 and soft reset and still no luck getting my regular phone data connection back on anybody else find a solution for this???

EDIT: In the trial version of the wmwifi i clicked crash cleanup in the menu to get the data on my phone working again. But i also noticed when i went to try to remove wmwifi it would not completely delete from my phone anybody else have this issue of removing wmwifi?

You are not doing this correctly. I dialed #778 on my phone and got the operator, just to see. You have to make sure you are dialing (2) "#" signs. On the screen where the phone number that you're dialing should show up, should look like this: ##778.

Works perfectly. I'm running my laptop on it right now. Verizon had to recently replace my Alltel Touch Pro with Verizon's version. I was not happy that they deactivated the internet sharing program. Thanks for finding and posting this on here. Also THANKS to whoever made this! MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro

I got both the things discussed on here to work no problem.. but for the ICS, wouldn't verizon catch on when say..youre watching a video on hulu.com or something using the mobile web and email package for $30? or is the mobile web unlimited to where this wouldn't become a factor?

I'm going to new mexico for a couple months for job training and was wondering if i should watch how much i use the net tethered with ICS
