Re: car audio auxilary input

Thanks for the repy, i disabled voice command but it still will pop up at random, it seems to happen as i lay the phone down in the console or pick it up again, i know im not hitting any buttons, then after i hang up the call the music will resume in my bluetooth even though i dont have that profile enabled so i unplug the dongle and plug it back in and it goes to the radio..
eventually after fighting with it for a couple seconds gsplayer stops outputting music all together and have to close it out..

Re: car audio auxilary input

I think it has something to do with the audio plug in the htc dongle is for a phone headphones, it has wires for left, right, mic and the button to activate a phone call. Something you are doing is grounding out the switch to place a phone call.

You may have to get a specific htc cable to go from the dongle to the head unit to avoid this.

Re: car audio auxilary input

Thanks, that does make sense, as i said its only when i move it around alot that it will do that, i didnt realize that was for headphones with a mic, i could research it myself but anyone know what cable is necessary for hooking up to a car radio?

Thanks

Re: car audio auxilary input

I have mine hooked up ot my aunts AUX port.. all my cable is has a regular 3.5mm plug on each end. works like a charm. If I plug in the mini head phones that came with the phone it does activate the mic/headphone icon meaning i can use it when makeing calls.

Re: car audio auxilary input

I know this is a bit off topic, but I've always thought dongle was a hilarious word. Especially for a piece of technology. It sounds more like a word to describe anything, like a thingamabob or a hoozywhatsy or a dongle.
