Opera screen won't flip to landscape

I have a strange problem. With Opera running when I flip my phone, the screen flips momentarily and then goes back to portrait and Opera minimizes. Anybody else had this issue? Any fixes. I'm trying to avoid a hard reset.

i just went from ie to opera and couldn get that problrm. im stock with no changes to opera settings. hope this helps.
