I did the volume thing and it worked. I just moved HTCvolumeControl.dll to HTCvolumeControl.dll.new, rebooted, and it worked.

what do i rename the file as? i cant delete. All i have to do is rename it and it fixes the problem? sorry for such a stupid question.

I renamed mine to HTCVolumeControlOLD.dll using Total Commander.

I renames it to the same as yours and it went back to the stock icon. Was its supposed to do that?

Unfortunately, that is all you can do right now to fix this. It will be stock.

I downloaded an awesome program called ArielBattery and put it over my volume icon so I didn't have the see the stock icon anymore. It is really neat and I was able to adjust the colors to match the wireless icon, but now I can't see the volume anymore -- I don't care, but it isn't for everyone.

It is probably just mental, but I think I am seeing faster rotation too.

so there is still mixed reviews of removing the htcvolume.dll and having your rom one reconfig corrects the issue... geesh ... the unknown resolution ......

Well I was reffered to this thread after creating my own and have just finished it. The problem is happening on stock roms so why do you feel it is the htcvolume.dll? Everyone seems to have custom icons so I removed mine and the problem is gone, I suggest other try the same. I really liked the custom icons but man was that annoying. Let me know if this fixes anyone elses.

I have the same sort of issue... It's really becoming a hassle. I get a text, tap to open the message, slide open the keyboard right after...

If I start typing, the contacts application will open and intercept all my keystrokes. If I wait, sometimes it will just close the messaging application and go back to landscape TF3D.

Removed my custom HTCVolumeControl.dll and soft reset, the stock one loaded back in... Same problem. So I just replaced it. This is really a PITA at this point.
