i dont have any cutom icons and i still got the problem, and all i really have installed is S2U2, and total commander

This has nothing to do with icons it has happened to me with a stock sprint rom with now taskbar, task manager, or theme programs installed.

i did not have the issue prior to installing the custom icons, only after install did it crop up

I replaced my windows/HTCVolumeControl.dll with my original backup, and the issue is resolved with the keyboard/landscape mode.

The only problem is that the original dll has a different interface for the system and ringer volume controls and the fonts are super tiny. Hopefully, someone will fix this soon, but I'll take the small fonts over the keyboard/landscape issue.

Have you made any .dll changes to your phone with total comander?

Thats weird. it should have returned ur icons and interface to normal. My fonts are normal and standad. Its one interface with two tabs. Not the version where u have to push an arrow to switch between the system and ringer volumes

So this happens on custom roms too? I have the original sprint rom, and get VERY anoyed with it while trying to text, then slide it open and in the middle of my text it goes to phone mode. :( We really need a good fix.

arghhh same for me... but when I had no additionnal programs it never happened...

Who is the guilty one....? Or what option on them?

After installing it, no more problems!!! For now.
