I have the same issue with the dialer popping up. I also have the custom taskbar and the HTCvolumeControl.dll fix. I tried renaming the files with Total Commander since I couldn't delete it. Rebooted the ATM, now I had the renamed file and the original HTCvolumeControll.dll. Made a phone call for about 2 minutes. Now I don't experience the problem. Maybe too early to tell, but ill post in a few days.

Interestingly also, landscape to portrait is much faster.

I replaced my windows/HTCVolumeControl.dll with my original backup, and the issue is resolved with the keyboard/landscape mode.

The only problem is that the original dll has a different interface for the system and ringer volume controls and the fonts are super tiny. Hopefully, someone will fix this soon, but I'll take the small fonts over the keyboard/landscape issue.

Maybe try renaming it instead. I renamed and I still have the stock volume size.

THIS WAS THE ISSUE... NOW FIXED

Reason:
I replaced (copied over the file) HTCvolumeControl.dll because the rom i was using had a differnt one.

Resolution:
I deleted it HTCvolumeControl.dll (rom restored the file) and i'm back to normal.

I still have three HTCVolume control in Windows folder:
HTCVolume control, 75,4 Ko
HTCVolume control.dll.040C, 5,45 Ko
HTCVolume control, 24,2 Ko

The program did not fix my problem either. Only took away my battery icon :(

oh no... it doesn't work no more.... so what have I to do with my 3 HTC volume control?
I didn't undestand which one to remove, and what to do...
