lol... It costs $50.00 more for a 2-yr contract, has a locked GPS, a worse keyboard then the Sprint version (based on seeming popular opinion both on this site and professional reviews), a so-so look, a reduced amount or RAM (288 MB vs 192 MB), no SD micro card, a worse box, no headphones, and no screen protector? Wow...

Thank god the Omnia just came out for Verizon, this will be the first time I don't get a HTC ppc, I guess I'll have my HTC Touch to fix my HTC cravings.

Personally, i'm having no problems with my TP through VZW
TF3D is quick and smooth even with a ton of apps running

Thanks...I've been eyeballing that thread. I'm gonna wait a bit more and see what others say about the stain wearing off, etc. during regular use. But I think it's definitely worth giving a try with THOSE kinds of results. I may try to pick up an extra back just for this purpose. Couldn't hurt having an extra one of a different colour.

But yeah, wonder what kind of bucks these carriers dump into customising the TP into their own branded version. I took another look at that keyboard and I agree with you...sort of looks like some chiclets stuck on there. LOL.

No way. Really?

Dang....Verizon users might as well just give up the ghost right now and get it overwith. No offense to them but even SPRINT doesn't have the gall to cripple a high-end phone like THAT.

Yeah I noticed. I have average to slightly larger than average hands/fingers. Even with the smaller keys on the Sprint TP keyboard I do okay.

I did notice something between the two...the Verizon board has NO dedicated TAB, CAPS, CTROL, right SHIFT, "-", "=", and TXT keys (what's with that "star" key, anyway? Favourites?). From my perspective, they probably didn't even NEED to put an up arrow key in between "n" and "m". They could have just grouped them together, moved them over one notch to the right, put the "SYM" key next to the space bar right where the left arrow key is now and put the "ENTER" key where the "SYM" key is currently located and they'd have been fine.

If this is the sad road I have to look forward to when I am merged[forced] to be a Verizon customer, HELLO SPRINT! lol. I have been keeping my eyes open for deals to move to Sprint... This is not what I am looking forward to.

I can see the day when Verizon's CEO walked into HTC and said "Here's what we want our Touch Pro to look like"... lol...

Kinda reminds me of that old commercial with Steve Young, Coach Seifert and others from the 49ers in Tokyo at a karaoke bar singing and two guys in the front row were feigning enjoyment of the singing and one says to the other, in Japanese, "Man, these guys STINK!"

Hows the Alltel TP look, I might get it once they let us put Alltel phones on our Verizon accounts
