Right. It still only shows 4 app icons on my device max, have to scroll for others. Turns out I prefer the drop-menu type of switcher.

The HTC one wasn't too bad, the problems were it was terribly slow and it didn't appear on every screen.

I installed the wkTask and uninstalled it, wasn't doing it for me, nice app but not for me. My HTC Task Manager is now missing. Anyway to get it back?

In settings (or is it programs), make sure it's enabled to display.

aebutton plus works really well for me for this task.. (I've got it configured so that I tap the end button twice, it pulls up a list of tasks that I can select from..)

I just started using WKTask today. Although it's not the fastest, it's the best looking!

What task manager are you using? Aebutton plus let's you have a hardware button (end button twice in your case) open an app. Which app are you using to pull up that list of tasks?

Re: What is everyone using to switch between task ?

I tried using WKTask but I don't like how it has the names of every program in the titlebar. Simple Icons would do.

I know there is an option for Icons only, but it still displays the program name when there is only 1 open.

I also had problems with the app overlapping my taskbar icons. It seems with Windows Mobile 6.1, it displays a battery icon while on the Today screen, which is gone when in any other programs or in the Programs/Settings menus.

I've tried adjusting the widths but it seems none work properly. Even when going in landscape the task bar screws up.

Magic Button seems to display nice, but if I remember correctly it has the same "overlay" icon problem.

The problem is that if the overlay, if not the right length, will be either too short or too long:
Too Short = program names underneath show ex: |}{|_[@]_[#]_[&]iles_____

Too Long = The Overlay cuts off the standard taskbar icons like the VM icons, Signal, etc.

I remember the VM icon being a problem since it isn't there all the time, and the Today screen taskbar battery icon shifting the icons.

I use HTC X-Button because A) It is already included in the ROM, B)Seems to do the job well.

I might try Magic Button again and see how it fairs out.
