I'd suggest either wearing gloves or just be careful not to touch the dye. When you finish "cooking" it and are ready to rinse it, just pick it out of the pot with whatever you were stirring it with and run it under the tap. You can handle it quickly after that.

I kinda want to know this as well. Plus, they can't be too expensive. I mean, this battery cover weighs less than a 4.32422 ton truck with a net force of 0 newtons. [assuming F-sub G is 9.80m/s/s]

Great post! I just flashed my rom and dyed the back. It feels like a brand new better looking faster phone.

The tip about buffing the back after everything was said and done helped a lot. It had an ashy uneven look before buffing it.

oh man!!! i have no words for how sexy this is... if i had been thinking i would've dropped the stylus in the pot too but oh well...

quick tip: if yours comes out partially shiny, you most likely 'cooked' it at too high a temp... no worries though just get a dark peice of denim and 'buff' it to remove the shiny residue. it WILL come out looking just like the original texture if you do this... thank me now.
